Registering a Certificate
Tagsmart uses the data associated with Certificates as tokens to enable the transfer of works from one account to another. If you have a work in your account, you are the 'keeper' of that work and its associated Certificate
Anyone in possession of a Certificate can apply for a transfer. For this reason, it is good practise to keep your Certificates safe. However, all registration applications are subject to checks and, in some cases, you will also be contacted to confirm a transfer.
If you have received a Certificate for a work you have purchased, you can register it by entering the details here.
Notes
- When you apply to register your Certificate, an artwork transfer process commences.
- The transfer process may take a few days. During this period, checks may be made with both the issuer and the applicant by Tagsmart.
- Once your application to transfer the work has been accepted, you will be notified by email and the work will be transferred to your account. If you are not already a Tagsmart user, a free account will be created for you and you will receive an invitation to join it
