Do I need Authority Status?
You do not need Authority status to create an artwork record for a unique work or an edition master for cataloguing purposes. You can create as many artworks as you like.
If you're a collector, you don't need authority status to:
- Request a replacement Certificate
- Apply for a Certificate for a work you already own
- You can do both the above by emailing your request, with details of the artwork, to registrar@tagsmart.com
If you're an artist, artist's agent or collector, you
need Authority status to:
- Create an individual print from an edition master
- Issue a Certificate of Authenticity for any work
If you're a gallery, your authority status is managed by the platform. Certificates are ordered via your gallery portal here.
